Brian Coyle graduated from National University of Galway with a First Class Honours Degree in Civil Engineering in 1996. The Irish ‘Celtic Tiger’ boom that swept across Ireland during the mid 90s exposed him to various types of projects that enabled him to gain valuable experience and so become a Senior Project Engineer with Hugh Griffin Associates over a very short period of time.
During his time with Hugh Griffin Associates, he worked on a diverse range of Commercial, Industrial, Residential, Civil, and Refurbishment projects throughout Ireland. Some of these projects include: |

With his experience and ability to communicate, manage and deliver a project he obtained Chartered Engineering (CEng.) status in 2001 with the Institute of Engineers of Ireland (IEI). He continued and passed, on a first sitting, the Part 3 Structural Engineer exam to obtain Chartered Structural Engineering (MISturctE) status with the Institute of Structural Engineers.
As a co-founder of CoyleKennedy he ensures that every project is co-ordinated, designed, drafted and administered to the highest quality ensuring that they are continually implemented and completed in a proper and orderly manner.

Tadhg Kennedy graduated from National University of Ireland, Galway in 1995 with a First Class Honours Civil Engineering Degree. Following his graduation, Tadhg joined Coffey Construction in London as a site engineer and quickly advanced to the position of a site agent. During his time with Coffey Construction, he acted as site agent on a number of bridge projects in North London.
He returned to Ireland to continue his education studying for an M.Eng.Sc Degree and shortly afterwards spent two years as a Lecturer in the Civil Engineering Department at National University of Ireland, Galway. |
In 1999 he joined Hugh Griffin Associates as a Senior Project Engineer. During his time with Hugh Griffin Associates he worked on many large and small-scale projects, some of which include:
- Galway Harbour Hotel and Residential Development, Galway.
- Steel Framed Residential Developments in Ballaghderreen and Kilmessan.
- Extension to Castlerea Prison, Co. Roscommon.
- Extension To Medtronic AVE, Galway.
- Apartment Development in Limerick.
- Newport Quay Apartment Development, Co. Mayo.
- Temporary Works Design in Dublin.
- Local Authority Housing in Galway.
- Section 50 Student Accommodations in Galway.
- New Leisure Complex in Ballinasloe, Co. Galway.
- Rahoon Redevelopment, Galway.
- Refurbishment of C.I.F Headquarters and ‘Bazaar’ Public House in Galway.
In 2000 he was awarded an M.Eng.Sc Degree from the National University of Ireland, Galway on the study of the ‘Optimisation of Semi-rigid Design of Steel Frames’ and later that year became a Chartered Engineer with the Institute of Engineers of Ireland.
In 2001 he co-founded CoyleKennedy Consulting Engineers with Brian Coyle. His aim is to continue to provide an efficient and quality service on similar projects to all CoyleKennedy Clients.
