Ince Biomass Facility

Ince Biomass Facility

Client: Ward & Burke
Budget: €16
Status: Phase 1 Complete

Project Description:

Provide the analysis, design and detail of the steel frame structure for a Biomass Energy Plant.

Due to the size of the buildings, Coyle Kennedy are designing the buildings using a combination of braced elements and rigid connections such that beam sizes and weights are kept to a minimum and lateral deflections are controlled via braced elements. Some of the steel elements have a clear span of 50m and this has been designed and detailed using the capacities of steel beams and bracing as shown.

Coyle Kennedy Role:

Full structural engineering service for the analysis, design and detail of the steel frame structure.
